CodeX – The Stanford Center for Legal Informatics, is proud to host the first ever LLM x Law Hackathon. This groundbreaking event explores the intersection between large language models and the law.

This hackathon, which will be held at Stanford University on the 20th of May, will bring together legal professionals and technologists as well as researchers and students in order to work on projects that tackle the challenges and possibilities of integrating large-scale language models into legal fields.

Artificial intelligence (AI), which continues to revolutionize industries around the world, is also transforming the legal industry. LLMs are a type AI model that can understand and generate natural language text. They have the potential transform legal research and analysis, dispute resolution and more. The integration of LLMs in legal practice presents unique challenges, including those related to ethics, accessibility, explainability and compliance. These issues require thoughtful consideration and innovative re-framing.

Participants will be able to collaborate in teams on relevant tracks and listen to keynote speakers who are at the forefront in legal technology. Teams will compete for prizes by developing creative and practical solutions that address real-world problems.
