The American Society of Association Executives, or ASAE, conducts its annual Power of Associations Awards to recognize the positive impact professional groups have on the economy and society. The State Bar of Nevada was awarded the Silver Award in 2023 for its innovative and successful Section Pro Bono Challenge.
The 3,115 hours of pro bono work contributed by the Section Pro Bono Challenge are expected to benefit more than 2,000 people. The lawyers who participated took 111 cases and participated in 556 Ask-A-Lawyer or Lawyer-in-the-Library sessions. The total raised was $6,330, which will be distributed to legal aid providers according to the IOLTA formula. View the winners of the challenge and final statistics .
