The William & Mary Law School Student Division of the Institute of Bill of Rights Law is proud to announce that Monica T. Monday has been awarded the 2023 Edmund Randolph Award in Oral Advocacy Excellence (the “Silver Tongue Award”), by Gentry Locke, a Virginia law firm.

The award recognizes an appellate lawyer who not only has demonstrated excellence in their craft but has also dedicated their career to improving standards of appellate practice and the administration of justice as well as ethics in the profession.

Monday has been representing her clients for 30 years in Virginia state and federal appeals courts. Her cases have included commercial and business disputes as well as healthcare, property, injury to persons, local government issues, domestic relations and more.
