Adam Ganz is proud to be a Las Vegas Resident. His family moved to Las Vegas Vallet in the 1970s when he was only a few years old, which is more than 40 years ago. Adam had always dreamed of becoming a lawyer since elementary school. He found a report that he had written in second-grade, which he was preparing to send to his mother. He was asked to write about his future plans. It was, obviously, all about becoming a lawyer one day.
Ganz grew up in Las Vegas, attended public school and was inspired by the great teachers at R. Guild Gray Elementary and Cashman Middle School. Ganz graduated from Bonanza High School in 1989.
Adam Ganz was the first member of his family to graduate college. His parents were supportive and loved him unconditionally. After attending college in Las Vegas, he moved to California to continue his studies. Adam worked hard from his second year of college to get through college and law school. Adam worked full-time in his undergrad program and tried to minimize expenses as much as possible.
He graduated from the University of San Diego Law School in 1998 and returned to Las Vegas. He continued his studies for the bar exam, which he was very grateful for passing. He married Prudence, and all of these life-changing moments were completed in six months.
Adam believes his childhood experiences have influenced him to become a Judge. To ensure fairness in the system. He believes that if you put in the work to do something, you should be recognized for it. However, if the system doesn’t give everyone a fair chance because it is unfair, then it sends out a negative message and everything will go downhill.
Ganz started his legal career after Law School in the area civil litigation. He represented thousands of people and litigated many social justice issues that affected the community. The business model of the law firm was to be brought in by other lawyers to handle complex litigation and bring cases to trial. While the firm was primarily focused on representing injured persons, it did include work in many other areas.
It was always about making the community safer and holding corporations, individuals, and local governments responsible for their actions. Adam Ganz has represented children in complex cases, including road design and defective products like printing presses and helicopters.
Ganz was among the first to volunteer for the Children’s Attorney Project. He has represented many children through the program over the past two decades. Many children who were wrongfully removed by the Department of Family Services from their homes and then abused, neglected or killed in foster care have been represented by Ganz. He exposed the school’s failure to protect Las Vegas children from teachers and other abusers.
Adam Ganz served as a Justice of the Peace Pro Tem hearing, mostly involving domestic violence cases. He has appeared at the Nevada Appeals Court and the Arizona Supreme Court. Northern Nevada and Arizona
Ganz has had the privilege of being a lead or second chair in cases against some of the most talented lawyers in Las Vegas. Ganz has extensive legal and courtroom experience. He also serves on numerous boards of directors for non profit organizations. Ganz’s extensive business experience has helped him to quickly manage the Court’s budget, and its employees. This has allowed Ganz to take advantage of opportunities to assist the Court’s administration via committees and other appointments.
Adam Ganz is the proud father to twin teenage boys. He and his wife of 20-years are constantly on their toes. He has learned patience through his volunteer work in youth sport. Ganz’s involvement in youth sports helped him mentor dozens of young lawyers and law clerks. Ganz still maintains contact with these former clerks as they continue their professional development in the community.
Ganz’s passion to make Las Vegas safer has lead him to many achievements that will benefit him as a judge. Ganz is driven by the simple principle of fair and impartial trials for all litigants. Adam believes at the heart of this race that finding a qualified judge who is open-minded, compassionate and qualified to be a judge is about finding someone. Not only must you have been a lawyer for at least five years to become a judge. However, in other areas of law as well as other professional experiences.
Adam Ganz enrolled at Pepperdine University’s Caruso School of Law as a student to get his LL.M. Dispute Resolution. He is nine weeks away now from finishing his degree. He completed his training as an arbitrator and mediator with the American Arbitration Association. After that, he started a neutral practice and was appointed to act as an arbitrator for AAA. Doing private mediations and arbitrals. Ganz was recently elected to the Red Rock Search and Rescue board of directors. As an adjunct professor, he teaches at UNLV.
