MIAMI, FL–Trial attorney Gregg Goldfarb recently celebrated a significant milestone with his podcast “Cut to the Chase”. Gregg will be celebrating the release the 100th episode. Some of the most prominent industry professionals, including economists, scientists, and lawyers, have been invited to the show. The podcast discusses a broad range of topics of public interest, from the most complex legal cases to science and the environment.
One of the most popular topics on “Cut to the Chaseā is how more companies are using bankruptcy to protect themselves against mass tort litigation. Fortune 500 companies have used the system to avoid paying damages to injured litigants. Gregg admitted that he may be biased. “But these companies pervert the whole idea of bankruptcy, which was intended to help people or businesses who are broke or overwhelmed by debt to discharge their debts and get a fresh start, reorganize, and pay off the debt according to bankruptcy rules. There are Fortune 500 Companies that use the “Texas Two Step” and which have subsidiaries filing bankruptcy petitions to request bankruptcy protections for some the most wealthy corporations in the world.
Gregg states that one of the reasons he started the podcast was to educate people about the law and their rights. “But I also want people to know the stories behind law, such as the misuse of bankruptcy to avoid legal responsibility.”
“Cut to the Chase”, a podcast, has covered the most recent environmental concern: widespread water contamination. Although Camp Lejeune ads have been flooding social media for the past three months, many are only now beginning to notice the numerous ways that water contamination is occurring across the country. Camp Lejeune is about water contamination at the Marine Base, North Carolina. This was after nearly one million marines were exposed to it for four decades. Similar problems are also found at other military bases. The Environmental Protection Agency is also concerned about water contamination from chemicals known as Forever Chemicals. These chemicals can be found in many products, including firefighting foam, Teflon pans and microwave popcorn bags. Scientists are concerned about the widespread use of these chemicals in everyday life and public spaces. One of the greatest environmental challenges facing our times is cleaning up contaminated water bodies.
The Cut to the Chase podcast is not only focused on environmental issues but also has episodes that explain the universe and important scientific news like the James Webb Telescope discovery and the breakthrough in nuclear fusion. Gregg states that the show’s primary focus is on hot legal issues that seem to pervade every space of society. These include cases involving cryptocurrency and mass torts, pharmaceutical drugs or environmental disasters. Tax matters are also covered.
