Thibault Schrepel, a Codex faculty member, discusses his recent paper The Making an Antitrust API: Proof Of Concept and explains how he created this antitrust API.

Paper Abstract

Computational Antitrust promises to not only help antitrust authorities preside over ever more complex and dynamic markets but also to give companies the tools they need to enforce and assess compliance with antitrust laws. This article is a novel solution for companies, whereas most of the research in this area has been focused on supporting antitrust agents. This article is a proof-of-concept that guides antitrust agencies to create a decision tree-based antitrust compliance API for market players. This article includes an open-access prototype that automates Article 102 TFEU compliance, as well as a discussion of its limitations and lessons learned.
