NASHVILLE (TN)–Johnson Laney is now certified by the HCEC Certification Commission as a Healthcare Ethic Consultant.

The certification recognizes the ability to demonstrate expertise in Health Law, Moral Reasoning, Healthcare Systems and apply these ideas to clinical situations. The American Society for Bioethics and Humanities created and funds the HCEC Certification Commission.

In May 2022, Laney joined Wiseman- Ashworth Trauger. He graduated from University of Georgia School of Law, May 2019. There he was President of the Health Law Society, and the recipient of State Bar of Georgia Health Law’s AlanRumph Award.

Johnson received his Postdoctoral Fellowship at Vanderbilt University in Clinical Ethics before joining Wiseman Ashworth Trauger. He was a Vanderbilt student who worked alongside administrators and healthcare providers to offer ethics consultations and lessons on healthcare ethics. Johnson was an Ethics and Compliance Officer at TriStar Centennial Medical Center, Nashville. He also served on Centennial’s Medical Ethics Committee. Johnson regularly lectures on professionalism, bioethics, and medical ethics.
