MEMPHIS, TN – Baker Donelson was named to Bloomberg Law’s annual Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Framework (DEI) for the second year in a row.
Baker Donelson was one of 43 U.S.-based legal firms that were recognized for their transparency of diversity-related metrics. They also achieved outstanding performance in six core areas: demographics and leadership, talent pipeline, recruitment, retention, business innovation, strategy and marketing, as well as diversity and inclusion in the community.
Bloomberg Law’s DEI Framework was created in 2021 with the help of Bloomberg’s Gender-Equality Index Team, diversity leads at corporations, and U.S.-based legal firms. Each of the six core pillars of the framework was used to assess performance.
Baker Donelson is committed to creating an inclusive workplace for all employees. We welcome people of all races and genders as well as languages, cultures, backgrounds, disabilities, sexual orientations, religious beliefs, and languages. Baker Donelson is a Mansfield Rule Certified Plus company for the third year. This means that at least 30% of the candidates for recruitment, governance, equity partner promotions and inclusion in formal pitches to clients are women and LGBTQ+ attorneys.
Baker Donelson’s D&I efforts continue. In 2020, Baker Donelson created a D&I Compact. This multi-year plan was designed to dramatically increase the number and diversity of its attorneys.
