The Eighth Judicial District Court issued Administration Order (AO 23-03) on March 21, 2023. This reassigns cases to that court in the following manner:
- Department 7 will be presided over by Judge Danielle “Pieper” Chio, effective March 20, 2023. Department 7 will continue to receive the caseload that was assigned to it.
- Department 29 will be presided over by Judge Jacob A. Reynolds, effective March 20, 2023. Department 29 will continue to have the same caseload as that department.
- About 3 percent of civil domestic cases that are currently open will be randomly assigned to Department C starting March 20, 2023. This will result in a full civil domestic caseload.
- On March 27, 2023 Judge Paul Gaudet will take over Department N. Department N will keep the caseload that was assigned to it.
- Department O will be presided over by Judge Regina McConnell, effective March 27, 2023. Department O will continue to have the caseload that was assigned to it.
- MAT Re-Entry Court currently assigned to Department 1 shall be reassigned at Department 30. Hearing Master Claudia Romney will continue to hear the case, effective from the date of this Order.
