DENVER CO–Bbuchalter has opened its 11th Denver office since November last year. The firm continues to expand in Colorado by adding two Shareholders – Betty Arkell joins its Corporate Practice Group, and Terry Freeman joins its Commercial Finance Practice Group.

Arkell is also a regular outside counsel for companies and their boards. She advises on corporate governance, strategic planning, equity and debt financing, mergers and acquisitions, and other issues. Arkell draws upon her extensive involvement in community and non-profit organizations, as well as membership on many boards, to provide prudent guidance and advice for management teams.

Freeman has extensive experience in structuring, documenting and servicing corporate and commercial finance transactions. In his nearly 30 years of experience as a legal advisor to financial institutions and other lenders he has supported and guided clients throughout the entire life cycle of loan transactions. His expertise includes asset-based financing and health care lending. His experience includes leading teams of counsellors in matters ranging from $5 million to more than $500 million in one bank, club deal and widely syndicated loans transactions. Freeman is a member of both the Texas and Colorado bars. He will continue to represent clients’ interests throughout the country.
