Ant Anstead’s Automotive Business Files for Bankruptcy Amid Fraud Allegations.

Ant Anstead’s automotive venture, Radford Motors, has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy following serious allegations of fraud and misrepresentation. The company, renowned for its custom luxury vehicles, is co-owned by Anstead, 2009 Formula 1 champion Jenson Button, and Roger Behle.

In a statement, Ant Anstead addressed the situation, emphasizing that the company is implementing standard organizational adjustments to maintain its regular operations. “After spending the last six months in the UK filming my new series ‘Born Mechanic,’ I have returned to the U.S. and remain fully supportive of Radford and its strategic direction,” Ant Anstead said and acknowledged the challenges posed by some ownership issues but reassured stakeholders of his commitment to the brand and its clients.

CFO/COO Daniel Bednarski confirmed that Radford Motors is undergoing a Chapter 11 restructuring aimed at strengthening the company’s foundation for future growth. He noted that “certain ownership transitions will take place,” but both he and Anstead will continue in their current roles. Bednarski expressed optimism about the future, stating, “We are dedicated to maintaining our operations with a revitalized sense of energy and purpose.”

Daniel Bednarski highlighted that the bankruptcy decision is essential for the company to continue exceeding client expectations and shaping the future of luxury automobiles. The legal troubles began when former business associate Pastor Pat Velasco filed a lawsuit in March, claiming Anstead and Bednarski owe him $2 million.

The situation escalated in July when another co-owner, Roger N. Behle Jr., accused them of financial mismanagement. Behle’s complaint details a troubling sale transaction where he alleges Anstead and Bednarski misappropriated funds meant for the business.

In their defense, Anstead and Bednarski have filed a counterclaim against both Velasco and Behle, further complicating the legal landscape surrounding Radford Motors.

Radford Motors was founded in 2020, known for its custom luxury vehicles and prides itself on exceptional craftsmanship and quality. The company is co-owned by Ant Anstead, Jenson Button, and Roger Behle under the company name Finest Coachbuilding Group (FCG), which is a United States limited liability company (LLC).
