On 25 August 2022, the financial close of the project was completed. Refinance was achieved by the issuance of a secured loan amounting to EUR1,007.843,966. Additionally, Athens International Airport received EUR28.7million to finance several construction projects. Alpha Bank, Eurobank and the National Bank of Greece were the arrangers of this bond loan. The National Bank of Greece was also acting as the facility agent and bondholder agent.
Koutalidis supervised the syndicate along with partners Nikos Salakas, Ioannis Kaptanis, and a team that included Ioannis Kaptanis and Nikos Salakas. The bankers were advised by the team throughout the negotiation process, including the drafting and signature of documentation. Koutalidis consulted on the main financing documents and provided comments. He also drafted security documents and reviewed precedent conditions. This was all in the context the financial closing.
The Koutalidis team continues its advisory role to the syndicate in all matters related to the existing capex financing. This includes any further drawdowns.
