ATLANTA, GA – Barnes & Thornburg has appointed Tina Dorr to its Atlanta office and expanding Intellectual Property Department.

Dorr’s practice focuses on the execution of sophisticated intellectual property strategies involving high-tech trade secrets and patents. She represents clients in many technology areas including chemical, material and life science as well as aerospace, semiconductor, and food and beverage.

Dorr holds a Ph.D. from chemistry and biochemistry. This makes him well-equipped to communicate with engineers and scientists to help them develop and implement their inventions and technology to remain competitive in the market. Dorr helps with the drafting, prosecution, and management of patent applications from all over the world. She also teaches her clients’ management and stakeholders about the importance of intellectual property for their success.

Tina was a lawyer in Atlanta before joining Barnes & Thornburg.

Tina is passionate about community outreach and leadership. Outside of work, Dorr serves as the president-elect of Georgia Asian Pacific American Bar Association. She is also a member of State Bar of Georgia Committee to Promote Inclusion.

Dorr received her B.S. Dorr received her B.S. in biology from Georgia University, where she was summa cum proude. Her Ph.D. was obtained summa cumlaude from Georgia Institute of Technology. She also received her J.D. Georgia State University College of Law.
