One of Florida’s most active and largest teams specializes in corporate, securities, mergers & acquisitions, joint venture formations and corporate financings. Bilzin Sumberg has now added seven lawyers to its Corporate & Finance team: Daniel Martinez, Clay B. Roberts and John Trach.

Douglas Aguililla is an experienced public company lawyer who has advised many industries in corporate and securities law matters. This includes public financing, SEC reporting compliance and corporate governance. He also represents lenders and borrowers in high-yield credit, debt, equity, and securities transactions. He is proficient in drafting annual, quarterly, registration statements and subscription agreements.

Nathaniel G. Dutt advises and structures on mergers, acquisitions consolidations divestitures, capital restructurings and purchases, sales, strategic alliances and joint ventures. He also counsels various sizes of businesses, from start-ups to large corporations, regarding the income tax implications of these transactions. He provides tax opinions on complex and complicated issues and assists clients in planning and implementing tax strategies to support a variety of business activities.

Alexandra Haller represents private firms and private funds in governance and formation, M&A transactions and other strategic transactions. Her vast experience includes matters in software, healthcare and life sciences as well as e-commerce and renewable energy technology.

Robert W. Lee has extensive experience in advising clients on entity operations, growth and structuring deals, as well as other transactional matters. Daniel Martinez concentrates his practice in corporate and partnership tax issues with respect to mergers & acquisitions, joint ventures REITs investment funds and financing transactions for domestic and international businesses. His extensive experience in tax law allows him to optimize structuring corporate transactions for his clients.

Clay B. Roberts joins Bilzin Sumberg as an expert in cross-border and domestic corporate restructuring. He advises companies, institutional creditors, bondholders, and any other interested parties, both in-and out-of court. He provides advice to clients on mergers, acquisitions and consolidations as well as capital restructurings and joint ventures.

John Trach is a specialist in transactional corporate matters. He draws on his previous experience as a South Florida business manager and co-founder of a customer relations management software company.
