NASHVILLE (TN)–Dodson Parker Behm & Ciapparella, PC has hired two additional attorneys to their Nashville law firm. Jacob Vanzin joined the appellate and trial litigation practice group. Julie Downs Payne joins the business services team.
Vanzin spent almost a decade as a private practitioner in Franklin, Tenn. where he represented criminal defendants and served as lead appellate counsel.
Vanzin received summa cumlaude his bachelor’s degree from the University of Pittsburgh in history and political sciences. Vanzin received his cum laude law degree from Washington University in St. Louis. While at Washington University, Vanzin became a national quarterfinalist as well as the 10th-Place National Best advocate in the American Bar Association’s National Appellate Advocacy Competition.
Vanzin is a litigation and appellate lawyer. He will represent clients in commercial litigation as well as real estate disputes, appeals, and real estate disputes.
Payne worked as a full-time clerk for Harlan Dodson before joining Dodson Parker Benhm & Coapparella. Payne was the first to graduate from the Harriet L. Wilkes Honors College at Florida Atlantic University. She graduated with a bachelor of science in political science and prelaw. Nashville School of Law gave her her law degree. She won the Founder’s Award, and she was inducted into The Honorable Society of Cooper’s Inn as the graduate with the highest overall grade point average.
Payne will represent clients on all aspects of business and estate planning.
