Ecovix, a Brazilian shipbuilder, has been building vessels for maritime operations since 2010. The Rio Grande Shipyard is one of the company’s previous projects. Ecovix was facing financial and economic difficulties. In December 2016, Ecovix filed for judicial restructuring at the Court of Rio Grande do Sul Estate. The debt totaling close to BRL 8 Billion. A general meeting of creditors approved the reorganisation plan in July 2018, and it was confirmed by Court in August 2018.

Ecovix submitted an amendment to its judicial recovery plan prior to the general meeting. The negotiations led to the plan’s approval at the meeting. This amendment allows the company diversify its business while still honoring its payments.
