MIAMI (FL)–Weiss Selothman Cole + Bierman continues to expand the firm’s network of high-quality attorneys in South Florida. Five associates were recently added to the firm.
Lindsay Behnke works in the Fort Lauderdale office. She counsels clients on complex governmental litigation issues, is an expert in tort and civil rights laws and is part the firm’s Litigation Division as well as the Appellate Practice Group. Before joining the firm, Behnke was a legal intern in the International Narcotics and Money Laundering Section at the United States Attorney’s Office. Behnke was awarded a full merit scholarship at Florida International University College of Law where she received her J.D. She was a graduating magnacum laude and ranked in the top 10 of her class.
Jake Bland, who is based at the Miami office of the firm, counsels clients in construction and negotiates contracts for them. He also represents them in complex disputes. Bland began his career as a WSHC+B associate. He was able to conduct legal research and draft discovery responses. Bland also assisted with all phases in litigation. Bland also worked as a law clerk in a boutique construction law company and multinational infrastructure construction firm, where he helped to draft construction contracts and commercial lease agreement. Bland received his J.D. from the University of Miami School of Law. He was also awarded the Order of the Coif and magna cumlaude.
Ryan Hudak is located in the Boca Raton office and represents both public and private clients in relation to employment matters and legal disputes. He assists clients in complying with all federal, state, and local laws regarding employment discrimination as well as employee rights and benefits. Hudak was previously Assistant School Board Attorney for Lee County School District. He handled discrimination cases against the district in front of federal and state agencies including the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (Office for Civil Rights), Florida Commission on Human Relations and Public Employee Relations Commission. Hudak earned his J.D. Marquette University Law School.
Narinah Jean-Baptiste resides in the Fort Lauderdale office. She is part of the firm’s Government Division and represents municipalities in complex land-use and zoning matters. She also counsels clients in general government matters, including negotiating contracts and complying with public records, government-in-the-sunshine and ethics laws. Jean-Baptiste was a judicial intern for the Honorable Beth Bloom at the U.S. District Court during law school. She received her J.D. She graduated from the University of Florida Levine College of Law.
Blayne Yudis represents clients from both the private and public sectors in litigation. The firm’s Fort Lauderdale office handles appeals as well as a wide range of subject matter. Prior to joining the firm, Yudis was a judicial law clerk to Judge Jeffrey T. Kuntz of Florida’s Fourth District Court of Appeal. Yudis was previously a judicial extern for U.S. District Judge DarrinP. Gayles of U.S. District Court, Southern District of Florida. There he researched and drafted orders on motions dismissal and other dispositive motions. Yudis is a cum laude graduate of the University of Miami School of Law.
