BOSTON, MA—Foley & Lardner LLP announced today that the firm has enhanced its rapidly growing Fund Formation & Investment Management Practice with the addition of partner Gustavo (Gus) Resendiz and senior associate Robert Linnoila in Boston. The attorneys, who join Foley from Choate, Hall & Stewart LLP, further enhance the firm’s rapidly growing Fund Formation & Investment Management (FFIM) Practice, which has more than doubled in size in the last four years.

Resendiz, who previously practiced at Foley in 2016, brings over 25 years of experience representing private fund sponsors in the formation of domestic and international private investment funds, namely private equity, growth equity, venture capital, and funds-of-funds. He counsels private fund sponsors on all aspects of the fund formation process, including structure, key terms, marketing, and negotiations with investors, as well as on day-to-day legal and regulatory matters.

Linnoila represents private fund sponsors in all aspects of the fund formation and operational processes. He has extensive experience representing private equity, growth equity, venture capital, and funds-of-funds.
