Haka Kuchen, an Austrian based company, acquired the Mondsee facility from Villeroy & Boch. The deal was overseen by Olaf Haelke Senior Director, Non-Ceramics Division, and Hoffmann, a lawyer in-house. It was a calculated step towards growth and expansion of production. Villeroy & Boch sought the legal expertise of the Salzburg law firm Pressl Endel Heinrich Bamberger. The transaction was handled by Haslauer who joined the firm as a cooperation partner after a personal referral.
PricewaterhouseCoopers provided their proficiency in handling the tax aspects of the deal, ensuring a smooth financial transition. In addition, Dr. Roland Schlager, who has a presence both in Munich and Salzburg with 2i-International as an M&A advisor brought valuable merger and acquistion insights to the table. Haka Kuchen’s strategic expansion in Austria was aided by this collaborative effort.
