The acquisition, which was completed on February 23, includes all ST’s current and under construction vessels. This increased Herman Senior’s fleet to eight to twelve total vessels. The combined company will provide services to customers in South America, Europe, and Asia as well as a new presence in the wider maritime industry.
Herman Senior commercial manager Erwin van Dodewaard, co-owner, spoke positively about the acquisition. He said that he was proud to have had the opportunity to purchase ST Marine Support from owners Rienk Switijnk and Vasco Tammes. We had a good relationship and started to talk about 13 months ago over a beer. Vasco and Rienk have created a strong company with three sturdy and solid Multi Cat workboats, which operate in the top market segments of Dredging. Their team has a lot experience. We like their straightforward, no-nonsense approach to projects.
Vasco Tammes, co-owner of ST Marine Support, also praised the deal. “Our companies have a lot in common in terms of scope and approach. We are confident that this agreement will result in two specialist, beautiful companies, which have been carefully constructed and are now one larger entity. We wish Herman Senior, and the Van Dodewaard families all the best and safe travels !”
