NEW BERN (NC)–Attorney Hugh Overholt was awarded the highest civilian honor in North Carolina, The Order of the Long Leaf Pine. Hugh Overholt’s dedication and exceptional contributions to North Carolina are reflected in this prestigious award.
Hugh’s influence goes far beyond transportation. He has been a tireless advocate for those affected by the water contamination at Camp Lejeune. His role was crucial in passing the Camp Lejeune justice act. This important legislation allows veterans, their families, and those who worked at the base from 1953 to 1987, to seek compensation. Hugh currently serves as a link between federal courts and plaintiffs’ law firms in cases brought under the Camp Lejeune Justice Act.
