CHARLOTTE (NC)–Moore & Van Allen PLLC is proud to announce that Jules W. Carter has been included on the 2022 Lawyers of Color Annual Top List of early- and mid-career lawyers who are excelling in law. Lawyers of Color is an organization that promotes diversity in the legal profession, and advances democracy and equality in marginalized areas.

Jules, along with other 2022 Hot List honourees, will be featured in Lawyers of Color’s Hot List issue 2022.

Jules focuses on financial regulatory compliance issues. He assists clients in navigating complex regulatory environments.

She advises a variety of financial service providers, including regional, national, and community banks as well as fintech and money services businesses and brokerage firms. Her interests include anti-money laundering compliance and the emerging Web3/digital asset space. Jules is also the chair of MVA Black Attorney Resource Group, (BARG), which supports Black lawyers’ professional and personal development.

She is also involved in several pro bono initiatives, including the MVA Housing Rights Project and the MVA Human Trafficking Pro Bono Project. Additionally, she oversees the MVA Pro Bono Policing Project.
