Kody Brown Wants to Attend Church With Robyn to Avoid Misunderstanding.

Kody Brown, a star of Sister Wives, shared that he prefers his wife, Robyn Brown, not to attend church without him to avoid giving other men the wrong idea.

In a preview clip for the episode airing on Sunday, December 15, Robyn, 46, asked Kody, 55, if he was comfortable with her going to church with their eldest daughter, Aurora. Kody replied, “As long as you guys aren’t excluding me, I want to join you eventually.” He added, “You shouldn’t go too long without me because I don’t want some guy thinking you’re a single mom,” explaining his concerns about her being seen alone.

Kody, who married Robyn in 2014, elaborated that there are many men interested in her. “There are a lot of guys who have their eyes on Robyn,” he mentioned in a confessional. The couple reminisced about their first encounter, with Kody recalling, “The first time I saw you in church, we shared that look, that connection,” which made Robyn chuckle.

When Robyn mentioned their shared gaze, Kody playfully countered, “Oh, no, no, no, no. I was looking longer. By the time you looked away, I thought, ‘This is probably inappropriate; she’s likely married.’” At the time of their meeting, Kody was already married to Meri, Janelle, and Christine, all of whom have since left him, leaving Robyn as his only remaining wife. Kody fondly recalled, “The first time I laid eyes on Robyn, I was leaning over a chair, chatting with a neighbor, and when we locked eyes, I just couldn’t look away.”

The father of 18 then prompted Robyn to recount her first memory of seeing Kody. “I want to feel that God has been my ally with you and that no one can take you from me,” he expressed. “I was sitting there with my cousin, just looking around. I noticed you for a bit, and what really stood out to me were your laugh lines because I adore laugh lines.

Then you caught my gaze, and it felt like a bolt of lightning struck me,” she shared. Robyn elaborated in a confessional, mentioning that she first saw Kody “at church” and experienced that “lightning bolt” moment. She added, “A month later, by chance, I met Kody and Meri on my cousin’s lawn.” Returning to the topic of Robyn attending church without him, Kody expressed, “I don’t want some guy looking at you and holding your gaze.”

While he claimed he was “protecting the pride,” Robyn reassured him that he had nothing to fear, stating she would inform any interested men that she was married. Kody then asked Robyn to display her wedding ring, saying, “I just wanted to ensure that bling was big enough to keep the guys away from you.” Kody Brown’s comments regarding Robyn attending church without him highlight his protective stance over their relationship.

His concern about other men potentially viewing Robyn as single reflects his desire to maintain control over how their dynamic is perceived. While Robyn reassures him of her commitment, Kody’s insistence on accompanying her underscores the complexity of their polygamous marriage, where emotions and insecurities can intertwine. As their relationship continues to evolve, these moments shed light on the unique challenges and dynamics they face, offering insight into their bond while maintaining a sense of privacy and trust within the family structure.
