HW Fisher Transactions Services offered financial and tax due-diligence services to Coniston Capital in order to help them secure the capital investment of MWA Financial. The services included an analysis of historical financial data, VAT, tax, and PAYE, as well as a review and assessment of financial forecasts, covenant compliance, and review of financial projections. HW Fisher Chartered Accountants also provide accountancy and financial advice to entrepreneurs, large corporations, and high-net-worth individuals. This allows them to advise Coniston in this investment.

Carolyn Hazard, Transactions Services Partner and Nishil Sharma, Transactions Services manager, led the transaction. HW Fisher had previously advised on ThinCats’ facility raised on March 23. This knowledge provided an excellent basis for its engagement with Coniston.

Coniston Capital invests in SMEs. These are companies that require a partner who can help them change ownership and accelerate growth.

Coniston Capital, a private equity company, will fund MWA to increase its acquisition power. Three deals are expected in the next year. This investment will help MWA Financial grow into a major UK wealth management practice.

Cam Banks founded MWA in 2016 to offer independent financial advice. Banks, who has more than 25-years of experience in Australia developing financial advice platforms for major organisations used MWA to recreate the holistic advice model.

Coniston Capital’s investment will allow MWA to expand their coverage in the UK. MWA targets firms that have strong client relationships and also experience in delivering excellent outcomes.

Brachers, a South East firm, also provided MWA Financial with corporate advice.
