The U.S. District Court for the District of Nevada, issued Order 2023-11 on December 12, 2023. This order designated the magistrate judges of the District to exercise discretion in civil matters, and to be specially designated to enter final judgments in civil cases.
The order states that the “…goal of this procedure is to increase consent cases in order to further advance the mandate of Rule 1 of Federal Rules of Civil Procedure – “to ensure the just, swift, and inexpensive resolution of every action or proceeding.” ‘”
