Chief Justice Elissa Cadish, announced on Jan. 11, 2024 that the Nevada Commission on Judicial Selection had received seven applications for the Department 27 of Eighth Judicial District Court.
The commission will form a panel consisting of three people to fill the vacant position. The Department 27 has been left vacant by the resignation of Nancy Allf in this month. In alphabetical order, the applicants are:

Nevada attorneys with a minimum of 10 years’ experience in the legal field, and at least two years in Nevada, are encouraged to apply. The interviews to fill this vacancy are scheduled for mid-February in Las Vegas. The interviews will be broadcast live on the Supreme Court’s YouTube Channel and are open for the public. The Commission will then nominate to Governor Joe Lombardo three finalists after the interviews.
