Yara Group is a global leader in the production and marketing of premium fertilisers, they have officially announced the sale of its subsidiary, Yara Côte d’Ivoire, to ETG Group.

ETG Group is a major player in the global agri-food industry. This transaction represents a significant step in Yara’s broader 2030 Africa Food Systems Transformation strategy, which aims to streamline its geographic footprint in Africa while focusing on key markets and high-growth sectors.

The sale aligns with Yara’s strategic plan to focus on their operations in Africa, concentrating resources on regions and segments that offer the greatest potential for long-term growth and development. By separating its Côte d’Ivoire subsidiary, Yara confirms its commitment to realigning its business strategy in Africa to meet evolving market demands and sustainability goals.

Yara received legal advice from BCTG Avocats (Augustin Nicolle, Partner and Pierre de Kerpoisson, associate) supporting them in African transactions. They also collaborated with the Ivorian Law firm Chauveau Avocats, their team was led by Jean-François Chauveau, alongside associates Claude-Andrée Groga, Hervé Bekrou, and Mohamed ZIDA.
