RALEIGH (NC–Ward and Smith are pleased to announce the addition three new litigation lawyers with more than 60 combined years of legal experience.
Ellis Boyle and Melody King and Joe Knott have a wealth knowledge in various areas, including family law and personal injury, as well as general litigation.
This group of highly skilled litigators will join the Ward and Smith bench that also includes many seasoned trial lawyers who handle cases throughout North Carolina and elsewhere. This addition will also increase the firm’s ability provide efficient dispute resolutions to individuals and businesses.
Ellis Boyle is a multi-faceted litigator with a focus on business disputes, personal injuries claims, and general litigation. He represents individuals and businesses in state and federal courts and provides advice to clients throughout the entire litigation process. Ellis is based at the Raleigh office.
Melody King has experience in family law litigation relating to divorce, property distribution pursuant to North Carolina’s equitable distribution statutes, spousal support and child support as well as negotiating Pre/Post-Marital Agreements and Separation and Property Settlement Agreements. A portion of her practice will be devoted to the representation of community associations. She is based at the Asheville office.
Joe Knott is a trial lawyer who has practiced for over 40 years. He represents victims of the negligence of others. His practice focuses on personal injury and medical malpractice. Nearly all medical malpractice cases and personal injury cases pit individuals against the vast insurance industry, and its legal teams. Knott considers it an honor to represent the Davids against their Goliaths. Joe is based at the Raleigh office of the firm.
