RALEIGH (NC)–Whitley law firm’s Ben Whitley was named to the 2023 Compassionate Counsel class. This distinction was first awarded by The Milestone Charitable Foundation in its inaugural year to a small group of innovative trial lawyers from across the country.

The Milestone Foundation’s board selects Compassionate Counsel recipients based on their commitment to the Seventh Amendment and belief that everyone has the right to justice. These trial lawyers work tirelessly for victims of civil injustices to receive their rightful compensation. They also help avoid further harm or trauma during the course of their lawsuit. They treat their clients with respect, consider fair funding and financial support a right, and care about their clients’ well being well beyond the settlement.

Whitley has been a North Carolina personal injury lawyer for over 30 years. He has not only represented and protected his clients during litigation but has also given them the resources they need to deal with their injuries. Whitley’s “wholehearted care”, which he embodies, can also be seen outside of the courtroom. He is passionate about his community.

Whitley is not the only Compassionate Counsel honoree in the 2023 class. Kim Dougherty, Justice Law Collaborative, LLC, and Anna Rolof Baron & Budd, P.C. are also part of this year’s 2023 class. Ellen Relkin, Weitz & Luxenberg P.C.

The ceremony in Miami honored the awardees on Sunday, January 22, 2023.
