The identity of the female celebrity who is said to have witnessed Jay-Z and Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs allegedly assault a 13-year-old girl remains a mystery.

The incident reportedly took place at an after party following the 2000 VMAs, where the unnamed “Celebrity B” was present. The original lawsuit claimed that Combs raped the young girl while two unidentified individuals, referred to as “Celebrity A” and “Celebrity B,” observed.

In a recent update to the lawsuit filed in New York, Jay-Z, whose real name is Shawn Carter, has been identified as Celebrity A by an anonymous accuser who now alleges that he and Combs assaulted her while “Celebrity B” looked on. The identity of Celebrity B is still unclear, but criminal defense attorney Julia Jayne mentioned to Fox News Digital that this individual is likely seeking legal counsel and reviewing a demand letter. She noted that it’s probable Celebrity B will not come forward, as doing so could tarnish her reputation.

Jayne added that while the name may eventually be revealed, no celebrity wants to be linked to such a case, even as a witness, due to the negative publicity it could generate. On the other hand, attorney Lauren Johnson-Norris suggested that the identity of Celebrity B might already be known. She stated that any celebrity involved would have likely consulted with a lawyer regarding the case. Johnson-Norris speculated on whether Celebrity B has been interviewed by the plaintiff or is cooperating with their legal team.

She also mentioned that it remains to be seen whether the unidentified female celebrity will claim she was present voluntarily or if she was also a victim. Defense attorney Oleg Nekritin explained that most lawyers would advise the celebrity to fight the allegations vigorously, first in private and then publicly if necessary. He emphasized that settling the case could be interpreted as an admission of wrongdoing, and unless there is substantial evidence against them, the celebrity is unlikely to agree to a settlement.

The lawyer stated that the celebrity would prefer to “fight” and “defend their reputation” instead. He further mentioned, “This celebrity will not consider cooperating with the plaintiff unless there is compelling evidence of their wrongdoing.” The allegations brought forth by an anonymous Jane Doe are part of a federal lawsuit against Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, 55, filed in New York in October and refiled on Sunday to include Jay-Z. She approached limo drivers outside the venue, and one claimed to be associated with Diddy, inviting her to an afterparty, suggesting she “fit what Diddy was looking for.” She was subsequently taken to a house where the party was taking place and was asked to sign a document she now suspects was a non-disclosure agreement.

At the party, she reportedly witnessed “widespread drug use,” including “marijuana and cocaine.” A waitress later offered her a drink that tasted “bitter,” and after consuming some, Jane Doe felt “woozy and lightheaded,” prompting her to lie down.

She claims to have found an empty bedroom with just a bed, where she lay down without locking the door. Soon after, Diddy, Jay-Z, and an unnamed female celebrity referred to as “Celebrity B” entered the room. According to the lawsuit, Diddy “aggressively approached Plaintiff with a crazed look in his eyes, grabbed her, and said, ‘You are ready to party!'” He then allegedly threw her against a wall before grabbing her and tossing her onto the bed. Jay-Z is accused of then removing her clothes and holding her down while raping her.

Afterwards, he reportedly stepped back, allowing Diddy to do the same. Jay-Z strongly refuted the allegations, calling the lawsuit “blackmail.” He maintained that the “appalling” accusations were false and expressed his sorrow for his family. In a statement to The Sun, he shared: “My only heartbreak is for my family. “My wife and I will have to explain to our children, especially one who is at an age where her friends will likely see the news and ask about these claims, the cruelty and greed of people.”

Now, two decades later, she claims to still be grappling with “deep depression” and “post-traumatic stress disorder, along with a seizure disorder triggered by stress and trauma” stemming from the alleged assaults. The lawsuit states that she “has struggled to maintain normal relationships and largely lives in isolation.”
